Hey, now! Don’t roll your eyes at my idea 😊
[QW28] Checklists: a perfect non-overwhelm(er)!
But it takes some time to create the perfect list,
Revisions encouraged
A printout of our list also gives us a place to jot down notes for improving our process. We can answer these questions on the sheet and revise the list for next time. Should you:
- Update any factual items?
- Add a step to make things easier?
- Delete or combine some steps?
For example …
My blog post checklist has probably gone through a hundred iterations over the years. Every time something didn’t go right with posting, or I had to exert extra effort to check on something … it went on the list.
When I created the next month’s article, I was able to devote more time to writing than to chasing problems because I had updated my list.
Minor tweaks keep me up to date and add peace and calm to my day when I’m working on posts. This checklist reminds me of the behind-the-scenes details that are easy to forget.*
* You know, that stuff that you’ll never forget, ’cause you always do it? Not putting milk on the grocery list, because you always get milk. Milk goes on my list, now. 😎
I have a checklist for you!
Well, staying on topic, here is a checklist you might find helpful.
Right now in the United States, we are collecting our paperwork to hand to our preparer before our ‘tax day’ in April.
I created this checklist years ago to help me gather data for my accountant. Grab my Tax Prep Checklist
I use this list every year, ’cause it saves me money (my preparer’s time is money!!) and helps me add peace and calm to the paper chase that begins in January.
No promises, but it works for me. Check it out!
I hope you’ve found this Quick Win ([QW]) and the Tax Prep Checklist helpful.
