It’s National French Fry Day

Freelance writers: an interesting ‘newsjack’ for ya!

OK … who’da thunk it?

There’s an honest-to-goodness fun holiday celebrating French fries.

I’m sure all you freelance writers out there have your own story about this crunchy treat.

‘Newsjack’ this idea!

Here’s my example.

Fun tale.

Fast to write and post. 😎

I love McDonald’s French fries.

My dad and I had a McDonald’s ritual every couple of weeks during my summer vacations.

Since Daddy couldn’t eat salt, the crew cooked a special order for us.

The plain burger for my dad was relatively easy, but the fries took some patience.

We had to wait until they made a fresh batch.

They’d take a serving out for him before salting the rest.

We were on our way with our plain burger (for Daddy), Big Mac (for me), and our fries.

As you can tell, I’ve never forgotten those special moments.

Parents take note: great memories can be made
without a trip to Disney World!

And now – to honor that last statement and continue the family tradition – I’m heading to McDonald’s.

For a Big Mac and fries.

I can’t remember the last time I did this, so no time like the present.

(Oooo … maybe they’re running a special deal on the taters!)

Happy National French Fry Day
